Mine kære sangerinder, mes chers collègues chanteurs, mis queridos compañeros cantantes🥳🎶🎵🥰😊


After this miserable winter 🥹and a totally wet and cold 🥶 spring tomorrow night we’re about to unleash unbridled sunshine ☀️☀️☀️☀️and good music 🎵 in abundance to the good folk of Coquetdale. 

Jon reckons we’re match fit 🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♂️🏋🏾‍♂️and indeed is so confident of a winning 🥇🥇🥇 performance that he’s changed the Longfram repertoire bringing in 4 “new” songs.  - including You Mariners All ⛴️ 🍺, a tricky little ditty if ever there was one!!! Hope we can get the words right - for the avoidance of doubt the final line is “And let me swim in a jug of THIS.” - not the other word which I heard one or two tunes sing (own up George, you tinker😂). 

We’ll be able to welcome back a few guys to the team on Friday - which is just as well as we need the missing basses, tunes and the tenors to return to get the full, rich 💰 sound of vintage VoiceMale!!!! 

We welcomed Steve to the group yesterday - yet another import from Rothbury, Steve is a fellow bon viveur and has the added advantage of being able to sing!!! Hope you enjoyed the night Steve. 

So we’re good to go on Friday 🎶🛵🚜🏎️ 🚴🏼‍♀️⛹🏽 - for those of us singing please be there at 6pm at the URC in full dress uniform - for those not singing please come anyway - we’d really love your support in the audience🙏 and you’ll get a feel for the experience. 

As you’ll all know tomorrow we’re supporting the Coquet Food Hub - they’re doing really fantastic work for those less fortunate folk in Upper Coquetdale and those volunteers really do deserve our support. Paul was kind enough to mention food and toiletry donations - the answer is yes please (but no perishables please). But no obligation - it’s enough that we’re singing!!! 

I’m assuming the concert will all be over by 9.30ish - there’s plenty of pubs within a few paces of the URC if anyone wants to join me in wetting their whistles after a hard nights warbling 🍺🍺🍺!!!
